Composer JOE HENRY has contributed to a wide array of film projects, having produced music from director Todd Haynes' ambitious bio-collage on Bob Dylan, I'm Not There, as well as having scored Jesus' Son, Motherhood (starring Uma Thurman) and the hit Judd Apatow comedy Knocked Up - the latter in collaboration with Loudon Wainwright III, for whom Henry has also acted as producer.

As a songwriter, Henry is widely celebrated for his poetic explorations of the human experience. Over the course of eleven solo projects as an artist, he has become a perennial worldwide song-writing poll-topper, while his collaborations have found him working with artists as diverse as Madonna and Ornette Coleman. As a producer, Henry has worked with a litany of legacy artists that include Allen Toussaint, Elvis Costello, Mavis Staples, Harry Belafonte, Mose Allison, Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Billy Preston, Salif Keita and Solomon Burke (with whom Henry won a Grammy® award in 2002); as well as maverick contemporary artists such as Ani DiFranco, Meshell N'degeocello and Aimee Mann.

Currently, Henry is touring in support of his most recent solo release, Blood From Stars (already on many best-of-the-decade lists.)
